I reflect on my journey of culinary experimentation and how it has served as a metaphor for growth and evolution in all areas of my life. What started as an effort to get creative with a surplus of ribeye steak has blossomed into a deeper exploration of the value of pushing beyond boredom and complacency.
The "Ribeye Challenge"
During the holiday season, I found myself with a substantial quantity of ribeye roast that I had purchased at a great price. Rather than simply cooking the meat in my usual go-to methods, I decided to embark on a mission to explore a variety of preparation techniques. I portioned out the roast and set out to try everything from classic pan-seared steaks to more creative applications, like thinly slicing the meat for Philly cheesesteak-style sandwiches.
